WHO CAN BE BAPTISED AT ST. ANDREW’S

Baptism is open to everyone, God’s love is available to all.

WHEN DO BAPTISM SERVICES TAKE PLACE

Firstly, contact the Church Coordinator to arrange a date.  Baptisms take place on the THIRD Sunday of the month, during the service which starts at 10:00am.

MEETING WITH THE MINISTER

Before the Baptism Service you will meet with the Minister to discuss the meaning of Baptism.

WHAT HAPPENS AT A BAPTISM?

You and the Godparents you have chosen will be asked to stand and make vows.  The minister will anoint the infant with holy oil and then he/she will take the infant to the font and invite all the young children to gather round the font to witness the baptism.  At the close the Minister will give a lighted Candle to the parents to represent the Light of Christ.
