Church Council
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!.
Psalm 133:1
St. Andrew’s Church council
The minister in the charge of St Andrew’s is the chair of our council. They share leadership with the lay chair, secretary and other members of the council who are elected each year by church members at their AGM. The main function of the council is to discuss and make decisions on behalf of the congregation on a broad range of topics concerning the church and her building and our community and mission.
Meetings
These occur every 2 months and are followed by brief meetings in the church both to keep the congregation informed and to hear of any issues needing to be addressed. At its 2018 New Year ‘away day’ the Council identified priorities for St. Andrew’s which currently guide Council decision-making.
Other roles & briefs
